Mission:
"Present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church."
What does FCA mean? FCA is simply Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It is a nondenominational, faith-financed program. It is the task of staff and volunteers to provide the administrative program and financial foundation of the ministry.
Do I have to be an athlete to attend the meetings? NO! Any student at Clay-Chalkville Middle School may attend and participate in the weekly FCA huddle meetings. FCA is an athletic ministry but it is open to anyone who wants to fellowship with people who want to serve the Lord.
When and where does FCA meet? FCA meets each Thursday morning from 7:20 -7:45 in the Media Center.
Who is the sponsor of FCA? Coach Simpson, Mrs. Julie Pritchett, and Mr. Patterson.
What is the leadership team? The leadership team consists of FCA class members who assist Coach Simpson in planning the weekly huddle meetings.
How do I become involved in the FCA ministry? 1) Come to the weekly huddle meetings; 2) Bring your bible, a pen/pencil, and paper; 3) Have a willing and worshipping heart!
What activities will I be a part of as a FCA member? Past activities have included: Sports Night, "Dirty Santa" Christmas gathering, FCA sponsored community yard sale, and an overnight camping trip to Camp Cosby. This year, FCA will be assisting numerous charities including: Ronald McDonald House, Camp Smile-A-Mile, Brother Brian's Mission, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We are currently planning upcoming activities. Listen for more information at future meetings.
As a parent/guardian, how can I help?
We welcome any help that a parent wishes to provide. Listed below are several areas that we will need assistance with during the 2007-2008 school year. You are not, however, limited to these areas. Please let one of the sponsors know if there is an area in which you would be willing to assist. As more opportunities arise, word will be sent home through your student.Areas of Need:

FCA STATEMENT OF FAITH
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative word of God.
- We believe that there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
- We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men/women regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation
- We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
